Two people arrested following drugs recovery near Beith
Two people have been arrested following a police operation in North Ayrshire.
Around 9.30am on Thursday, 22 August 2024, officers acting under warrant, searched a property near Beith and recovered a quantity of herbal cannabis in excess of 60kg. The drugs have an estimated street value of about £400,000.
A 54-year-old woman and a 50-year-old man have been arrested in connection with the recovery and will appear at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court on Friday, 23 August, 2024. A 23-year-old man was also arrested and later released without charge.
