Man arrested and charged in connection with attempted abduction and sexual assault in Arbroath
A 35-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with an attempted abduction and sexual assault of a female in Arbroath.
It happened on Glenesk Place around 10.05pm on Sunday, 18 August, 2024.
He appeared at Forfar Sheriff Court on Wednesday, 21 August.
Officers continue to appeal for witnesses and are keen to trace an orange coloured car and a man seen in the area around the time.
Detective Sergeant David Fearn, Arbroath Police Office, said: “I’m appealing to anyone who saw what happened, in particular the occupants of the orange coloured car and a man seen walking nearby at the time, to come forward. They may have vital information."
