Man arrested after woman approached in Garthland Lane, Paisley

Around 2.20am on Sunday, 25 August, 2024, we received a report of a woman being approached by a man in Garthland Lane, Paisley, who acted suspiciously towards her before becoming aggressive.

A 45-year-old man was subsequently traced and arrested and charged in connection. He was released on an undertaking to appear before Paisley Sheriff Court at a later date.

Detective Inspector Gordon Smith said: “Enquiries into this incident remain ongoing and we would appeal to any potential witnesses who were within Paisley Town Centre in the early hours of Sunday morning to please come forward.
