Drugs worth £1.1 million seized in Giffnock and Lockerbie
Drugs worth £1.1 million have been seized in Giffnock and Lockerbie on Wednesday, 7 August, 2024.
Around 3.30pm, following a search of a house in Carleton Drive, Giffnock, cocaine with an estimated street value of one million pounds was recovered.
Two men aged 29 and 35 years have been arrested and charged in connection and they are due to appear at Paisley Sheriff Court on Thursday, 8 August, 2024.
Around 6.40pm, a Toyota Yaris was stopped by officers on the A74(M) northbound, near to junction 17 at Lockerbie. Cannabis with an estimated street value of £100,000 was recovered.
Two men aged 29 and 58 years have been arrested and charged in connection and they are due to appear at Dumfries Sheriff Court on Thursday, 8 August, 2024.
