Appeal following serious crash on the B9022 Aberdeenshire
Road Policing officers are appealing for information following a serious crash on the B9022 Aberdeenshire.
The crash involving one motorcycle happened around 2.00pm on Wednesday, 28 August, 2024, on the B9022 Portsoy to Gordonstown road at the old railway bridge, Gordonstown.
Emergency services attended and the 70-year-old male rider was taken by helimed to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for treatment, where his condition is described as critical.
The road was closed for around nine and a half hours to allow investigations to be carried out and re-opened around 11.45pm.
Sergeant Sarah Ritchie said: “Our enquiries into this crash are ongoing and I would appeal to anyone with any information which could assist us to get in touch.
“I would ask anyone who was on this road around the time and who may have witnessed the crash or have dash cam footage to contact us on 101 quoting reference 2039 of 28 August, 2024.”
