Appeal following serious crash on the A822 Braco to Crieff road

Road Policing officers are appealing for information following a serious crash on the A822 Braco to Crieff road.

The crash involving a grey Skoda Octavia happened around half a mile south of the junction with the A823, around 6.05pm on Monday, 19 August, 2024.

Emergency services attended and the 56-year-old male driver was taken to Ninewells Hospital for treatment to what were described as serious injuries.

The 15-year-old male passenger was taken to Ninewells Hospital for treatment.

The road was closed for around five hours to allow enquiries to be carried out and re-opened around 11pm.

Sergeant Brian McEwen said: “Our enquiries into the crash are ongoing and I am appealing to anyone who witnessed the crash or the vehicle prior to contact us.

“I would ask anyone who was in the area and who may have dash cam footage which could assist to get in touch.”
