Appeal following serious crash on A87 near Invermoriston
Road Policing officers are appealing for information after a motorcyclist was seriously injured in a crash on the A87 at Bunloyne Junction, by Invermoriston.
The crash happened around 10.30am on Saturday, 10 August, and involved a grey BMW car and an orange KTM motorbike.
The 53-year-old male motorcyclist was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary where staff describe his injuries as critical. The 29-year-old male driver of the car was arrested in connection with a road traffic offence and has been released pending further enquiries.
Sergeant David Miller, of the Dingwall Road Policing Unit, said: “Our enquiries are ongoing and I would ask anyone who witnessed what happened or who saw either vehicle on the road prior to the crash to get in touch. We would be keen to speak to anyone who may have dashcam footage from the area around the time of the incident.
“Anyone with information is asked to call 101, quoting incident number 1130 of 10 August.”
