Appeal following serious crash in Hamilton
Road Policing officers are appealing for information following a serious crash in Hamilton.
The crash involving a red Peugeot and a female pedestrian happened on Douglas Park Lane, near to Douglas Retail Park around 11.20am on Thursday, 15 August, 2024.
The 86-year-old female pedestrian was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment for what is described as serious injuries.
The road was closed to allow enquiries to be carried out and re-opened around 2pm.
Road Policing Sergeant Chris McColm said: “Our enquiries into the crash are ongoing. I would ask anyone who may have witnessed the crash, or who may have dash-cam footage, and has not yet spoken to or provided this information to officers, to contact us as soon as possible.”
