Appeal following serious assault in Erskine
Detectives are appealing for information following a serious assault which took place in Erskine on Sunday, 25 August, 2024.
During the afternoon, following a verbal altercation in Darroch Park, a woman was assaulted by a man.
The 37-year-old victim was taken to hospital where she was treated for serious injuries and later discharged.
A 40-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the incident and he is expected to appear at Paisley Sheriff Court on Thursday, 29 August, 2024.
Detective Constable Colin Leggat said: “Enquiries into this incident remain ongoing and we are appealing for any members of the public who were in the park at the time and may have witnessed what happened to get in touch.
