Death of a 40-year-old woman in Glasgow
A 40-year-old woman has died following an incident on Wellington Lane, Glasgow on Tuesday, 13 August, 2024.
Emergency services attended yesterday afternoon around 2.40pm following a report of a woman, lying on the ground, who had been struck by a car. The driver of the car was uninjured.
The woman's family has been informed.
Inquiries have established the woman was dropped off in Wellington Lane prior to her being struck by the vehicle.
A post mortem examination will be carried out in due course, however, officers are not treating the death as suspicious.
Detective Sergeant Sean McLoughlin said: "We are continuing to investigate the circumstances around this incident. A family has lost a loved one and it's imperative we provide answers as to how that happened. If anyone has any information, who has not yet spoken to us, please do get in touch."
