Appeal for information following sheep injured in Doune
We are appealing for information following a report of a sheep being injured in Doune.
The incident happened between 7pm and 9.30pm on Wednesday, 24 April, 2024 in a field near to Doune, Stirlingshire.
The animal was found with injuries consistent with a suspected dog attack.
Inspector Andy Bushell said: "Enquiries are ongoing and officers are appealing for anyone with information to get in touch.
"Attacks on livestock can have devastating results and can result in the death of sheep unborn lambs. Owners can face prosecution if they don't keep their dogs under close control at all times, or take them into fields where there are lambs, calves or other young farm animals.
"We are asking everyone to be considerate when out and about in our rural areas."
