Appeal for information following serious assault in Glasgow
Detectives are appealing for information following a serious assault in Glasgow.
Around 12.30am on Friday,12 April 2024, a 28-year-old man was attacked on Union Street, near to Gordon Street.
Enquiries so far have established the man was assaulted by members of a group of around eight males who were in the area at the time.
The 28-year-old man was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary after suffering head and back injuries.
We currently have no specific description of the males, just that they were dressed in dark coloured clothing.
Officers are continuing to gather relevant CCTV footage from the surrounding area for any additional information.
Detective Constable Matthew McCann said: “This group were in Union Street prior to the assault taking place and I would like to ask anyone who was in that area at the time who may have seen the males to get in touch.
“I would also ask any motorists with dash cam equipment to check their footage as there could be images which would aid our investigation.”
