Appeal for information following robbery in Greenock
Officers are appealing for information following a robbery in Greenock.
Around 9pm on Friday, 19 April 2024, a 58-year-old man was on Hastie Street when three male youths approached him and stole his mobile phone and a two-figure sum of cash.
The three males then ran off.
The victim did not require hospital treatment.
Officers are checking any relevant CCTV footage for any additional information on the suspects or the incident.
Detective Sergeant Stuart Young said: “I am appealing to anyone who was in Hastie Street around the time to think back and consider if they saw anything, did you perhaps see three males acting suspiciously? If you have any information, please do get in touch with us.
“I would also like to ask anyone with dash cams to check their equipment and there could be images on there which could assist our investigation.”
