Appeal for information following assault and attempted robbery in Rutherglen
Police Scotland is appealing for information following an assault and attempted robbery in Rutherglen.
Around 3.50pm on Monday, 29 April, 2024, a 30-year-old man was approached by a man near the underpass on Burnhill Street and assaulted. The man demanded money and then took off empty handed.
The victim did not require medical treatment.
Detective Constable Stuart Adams of CID said: “We are keen to trace a man described as 20 to 30 years of age, wearing a dark hooded jacket and white trainers. His face was covered by a snood and he was carrying a back pack.
“We are keen to hear from anyone in the area at the time. I would appeal to motorists who have dash-cam footage, you may have captured something that could assist our investigations.
