Appeal following serious assault on West Street in Glasgow
Officers are appealing for information following a serious assault in the Tradeston area of Glasgow.
The incident happened on West Street around 6.05pm on Wednesday, 3 April, when a 57-year-old man was assaulted. He was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment to facial injuries.
The two male suspects made off toward the squinty bridge, walking north on York Street onto Argyle Street. They are described as being white, between 15-20 years old, both wearing dark jackets with their hoods up, dark tracksuit bottoms and black trainers.
Detective Constable Craig Whyte of Glasgow CID said: “This was an unprovoked attack which has left a man seriously injured and we are carrying out extensive enquiries to identify and trace those responsible.
“We are asking anyone who witnessed the incident or thinks they may have seen either of the suspects in the area to contact us.
“I would also appeal to drivers with dashcams to check their footage and get in touch if they have captured anything which could be of significance.”
