Appeal following fatal crash on A941, Moray
Road policing officers are appealing for information following a fatal crash on the A941, Moray.
Around 4.25pm on Tuesday, 23 April, 2024, a car and an HGV were involved in a collision near the junction for the A95, Craigellachie.
The 56-year-old male rear passenger of the Vauxhall Crossland was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver and two other passengers were taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.
The driver of the Mercedes HGV was not injured.
The road was closed while crash investigations were carried out and fully reopened around 8am on Wednesday, 24 April.
Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances and officers are appealing for information.
Road Policing Sergeant Iain Nicolson said: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the man who died and everyone involved in this incident.
“As our enquiries continue, I’d appeal to anyone with information to come forward. I’d be particularly keen to speak to anyone who saw what happened or has dashcam footage of the area around the time.”
