Appeal for information following vehicle theft, Abernethy
We are appealing for information after a car was stolen from a farm in Abernethy, near Perth.
The silver Mitsubishi L200 (reg WR64 VML), with hardtop canopy, was taken around 7pm on Tuesday, 26 September, 2023. It was towing a blue diesel bowser at the time and there was a red Labrador dog inside.
A man was seen getting out of a black Ford Focus before the car was taken. Both vehicles then drove off together westbound on the A913 towards Aberargie.
Around 8pm, the dog was found uninjured in Errol.
Enquiries are ongoing to trace the vehicles and officers are appealing for anyone with information to get in touch.
Constable Matthew Mason, Crieff Police Station, said: “Given the time of day this occurred, members of the public are likely to have seen the vehicles.
“I would urge anyone in the Abernethy and Errol areas with private CCTV, doorbell cameras or dashcams to review their footage and bring anything of significance to our attention.
“If you were in the area around the time and think you maybe have seen something which could help with our investigation, please come forward.”
Anyone with any information should contact police via 101, quoting reference 3243 of 26 September, 2023. Alternatively, Crimestoppers can be contacted on 0800 555 111, where information can be given anonymously.
