Appeal for information following serious crash on A77 near Minishant
Road Policing officers are appealing for information following a serious crash on the A77 near Minishant.
The incident, involving a black Vauxhall Corsa and a grey Volkswagen Golf, happened on the A77 at its junction with the B7045 around 3.50pm on Thursday, 31 August, 2023.
Emergency services attended and a 62-year-old woman was taken by air ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow.
A 59-year-old man was taken by ambulance to University Hospital Crosshouse in Kilmarnock.
The road was closed for around seven hours while investigations were carried out and re-opened around 12.55am.
Sergeant Gordon Stewart said: “Our enquiries to establish the full circumstances are ongoing.
“I am appealing for anyone who saw the crash and has not already spoken to officers to get in touch.
“I would also ask anyone who was in the area around the time and who may have dash-cam footage which could assist to contact us.”
