Appeal following crash on the A71 near Drumclog
Road Policing officers are appealing for information after a crash involving a motorcycle on the A71.
The incident involving a Kawasaki ER500 happened around 1pm on Tuesday, 12 September, 2023, on the A71 near Drumclog.
The 55-year-old male rider was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment of serious injuries.
The road was closed until around 5.25pm on Tuesday, 12 September, to allow for investigation at the scene.
Sgt Stewart Taylor of Motherwell Road Policing: “Our investigation to establish the full circumstances of this collision is ongoing, and I would urge anyone who can help to come forward.
“We would also be keen to speak to anyone who may have dashcam footage or who saw the vehicle on the road prior to the crash.
“Anyone who can help is asked to call 101, quoting reference 1635 of 12 September, 2023."
