Six people charged following drug recovery in Dundee
Officers in Tayside have charged six people and seized a significant quantity of illegal drugs.
On Monday, 16 October, 2023, officers attended a property in the Arklay Street area of Dundee suspected of being involved in the supply of controlled drugs.
Seized from within the address was a significant quantity of cocaine with an estimated street value of over £8,000, as well as around £1,500 cash.
Five men (aged between 20 and 66) and a 37-year-old woman were arrested and charged in connection. A report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
Detective Constable Michael Currie said: “We want the public to know that we will use every tool and tactic at our disposal to remove illegal substances from our streets.
“We rely on the public to build our intelligence on these issues and I would encourage anyone to report any concerns or suspicious activity to police by calling 101.
