Pair charged as police appeal for information on recovered jewellery stolen from Glasgow and Paisley

A man and a woman have been arrested and charged with theft and reset after a quantity of jewellery from properties in Paisley was recovered in the Shettleston area of Glasgow.

A warrant was executed at an address on Kenmore Street on Tuesday, 17 October, 2023.

The man, 54, and woman, 55, are both due to appear at Paisley Sheriff Court on Thursday, 9 November, 2023.

Detective Constable Jamie Howarth said: “A large number of items of jewellery has been recovered and enquiries are ongoing to identify who much of it belongs to.

“Enquiries suggest it may have been taken from a large number of properties in the Glasgow and Paisley areas over an extended timeframe.

“If you believe any of these items could belong to you or a family member please call 101, quoting reference 0975 of 29 May, 2023.”
