Officers tackle antisocial driving in Oakbank area of Perth
Officers have been responding to community concerns in the Oakbank area of Perth.
Dedicated days of action and proactive patrols were carried out targeting antisocial driving.
During this activity, officers issued a number of fixed penalty notices. They also engaged with several drivers, providing suitable advice.
Police Constable Emma Irons said: “I would like to reassure the community that we will continue to respond to their concerns regarding road traffic matters. This initiative was carried out in partnership with Perth and Kinross Council parking wardens and we will continue to work with our partners in educating drivers about the school exclusion zone.
“A further joint visit for ongoing engagement was held on Friday, 29 September, 2023 and it was noted that the volume of vehicles driving through the zone without permits had noticeably reduced.
“If you have any information or concerns about speeding or antisocial driving in your area, please report this to police by calling 101, and our efforts can be targeted appropriately.”
