Man arrested and charged following drugs recovery in Tayside

Cannabis worth £375,000 as part of an operation carried out at two addresses in Tayside.

Officers executed drugs search warrants at two rural properties near Lundie, Dundee during the morning of Wednesday, 18 October.

A 25-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the recovery. He is due to appear at Forfar Sheriff Court on Thursday, 19 October.

Acting Detective Sergeant Luke Doogan said: “This is a significant recovery and underlines our commitment to the Serious Organised Crime Taskforce and the country’s Serious Organised Crime Strategy.

“Action such as this is built on intelligence from our communities who do not tolerate the trade in illegal drugs.

“Anyone with information about drugs can contact police on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
