Appeal following wilful fire raising in Old Kilpatrick
Police are appealing for information following an incident of wilful fire raising in Old Kilpatrick.
Officers responded around 9.25pm on Monday, 23 October, 2023, following a report of a car on fire on Lusset Road, Old Kilpatrick.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service attended and extinguished the fire safely. There were no injuries.
Detectives have made extensive enquiries and are keen to trace a man seen in the area around the time of the incident. He is described as being around 5ft 8 to 6ft in height and was wearing a dark hooded top with his hood up, blue jogging bottoms and dark trainers.
Detective Constable, Darren Campbell, of Clydebank CID, said: “Thankfully, no-one was injured as a result of this completely reckless act.
“I am appealing to anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area at the time or who may have private CCTV or dash-cam footage that could assist with our enquiries to get in touch.”
