Appeal following serious assault in Alexandria

Police in West Dumbartonshire are appealing for information following the serious assault of a man in Alexandria.

The incident took place in the Main Street area near Bank Street, around 4.30pm on Wednesday, 25 October, 2023.

A 38-year-old man was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow for treatment.

Detective Constable Jade Sutherland said: “Extensive enquiries are being carried out to establish the full circumstances of this incident.

“We are appealing to anyone in the area at the time who may have witnessed the incident or anyone with any information to get in touch.

“I would also urge anyone with dashcam footage or private CCTV that could assist our investigation to contact officers.”
