Appeal following housebreaking in Bridge of Weir
Detectives are appealing for information following a housebreaking in Bridge of Weir on Sunday, 22 October, 2023.
The householders returned from holiday to find their home had been broken into in the Hazelwood Road area.
Those responsible had forced their way in and stole several items of jewellery, including two Breitling watches. The pieces are very precious to the owners and hold great sentimental value.
Officers are in the process of checking any relevant CCTV for any information on the perpetrator(s).
Detective Constable John Sharkey said: “I am asking people in the local area to think back and consider if they noticed anything suspicious or out of the ordinary.
“Did you see anyone who wasn’t familiar to the area, did you notice any cars or people hanging around for periods of time. Any small piece of information could prove vital to our investigation so please do contact us.
He added: “I would also ask anyone with recording equipment to check the footage as there could be vital images which would assist our enquiries.”
