Appeal following an assault at Royal Exchange Square, Glasgow

Detectives have issued a CCTV image of a man they believe may be able to assist with their ongoing investigation into a serious assault in Glasgow.

The incident happened in Royal Exchange Square around 00.30 am on Sunday, 29 January 2023.

The man (pictured below) is described as white, in his early 20s and of slim build with dark-coloured hair. He was wearing a black puffer-style jacket, a black jumper with white writing, dark-coloured tracksuit trousers and black and white trainers.

Detective Constable Andrew Reid, of Stewart Street Police Station, said: “The man in the image may have information that will assist us with our investigation, and I would ask the man himself, or anyone who recognises him to contact us.

“Anyone with information should call us on 101, quoting incident number 1591 of Monday, 30 January, 2023, or contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, where anonymity can be maintained.”
