Three charged following drugs recovery in Dumfries
Three men have been arrested and charged in connection with drugs offences in Dumfries.
On Friday, 10 November, 2023, officers had cause to stop and search a car on the A701 near Parkgate. A quantity of cocaine with an estimated street value of £40,000 was recovered from the vehicle. An address in Dumfries was also searched in connection with the recovery, where further amounts of cocaine and cannabis were seized.
The men, aged 22, 23 and 37, will be reported to the Procurator Fiscal and appear in court at a later date.
Detective Inspector Graeme Robertson said: “This recovery highlights our efforts to disrupt the illegal and harmful supply of drugs in our communities. It also underlines our commitment to the Serious Organised Crime Taskforce and the country’s Serious Organised Crime Strategy.
