Man jailed for sexual offences on the Isle of Lewis
A 54-year-old man has been jailed for sexual offences.
Sinclair Leahy, 54, was jailed for six years for serious sexual offences at the High Court in Edinburgh on Friday, 24 November 2023,
The offences took place on the Isle of Lewis between March 2020 and February 2021.
Leahy was arrested and charged on Tuesday, 9 February, 2021 before being found guilty of a series of serious sexual offences against women at the High Court at Edinburgh on Monday, 16 October, 2023.
Detective Sergeant Daniel Smith said: "Leahy will now face the consequences of his deplorable behaviour.
“Police Scotland is committed to tackling sexual offences to ensure the safety of individuals and communities.
“We are determined to bring sexual offenders to justice. We treat all sexual crime with the utmost seriousness and encourage anyone who has been the victim of sexual offending to come forward where they will be supported by specially trained officers.
