Man arrested in connection with death in Rutherglen
A 22-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the death of 38-year-old Stuart McGeachie in Rutherglen.
Around 7pm on Tuesday, 24 October, 2023, officers were called to reports of a disturbance on Farmeloan Road, at the junction with Victoria Street.
Mr McGeachie was assaulted outside premises on Farmeloan Road before making his way to a nearby flat where he was pronounced dead.
The man will appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Friday, 10 November, 2023.
Detective Chief Inspector John Morrison said: "Our thoughts remain with Stuart’s family and friends at this very difficult time. We would like to thank the public for their help so far with our enquiries.
"Our investigation continues and we appeal for anyone who may have information which could help us, who has not yet come forward, to place contact us."
