Appeal for witnesses following assault – County Place, Perth
We are appealing for information in relation to the assault of a 36-year-old man near a newsagents in County Place, Perth around 6pm on Saturday, 4 November 2023.
From our enquiries, the injured man was approached by two men who assaulted him causing him to fall to the ground where he sustained a head injury. He was taken by ambulance to Perth Royal Infirmary where he was treated and has since been discharged.
The suspects, who ran off after that attack in the direction of the local library, are described as:
1. White, 6ft, in his late 30s, wearing a black jacket, white/light grey tracksuit bottoms and white trainers. He was also carrying a red plastic shopping bag.
2. White, 5ft 8, wearing a black baseball cap, black tracksuit bottoms, dark top with a white logo and white trainers.
Constable Julie Hoskins, Perth Police Station, said:
“Officers have been checking CCTV and making local enquiries since the incident was reported to police but would appeal to anyone who was in the area at the time and saw the attack or the men described to come forward.
"Information can be passed to police via 101 quoting incident number 2920 of Saturday, 4 November 2023. Alternatively, details can be given anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
