Appeal for information following wilful fire in Renfrew
We are appealing for information after a wilful vehicle fire in Renfrew.
Emergency services were called to Arkleston Road, near Arkleston Cemetery and the footbridge over the M8, around 1.45am on Thursday, 23 November, 2023.
The fire was extinguished and there were no reports of injuries.
We are treating the fire as wilful. CCTV enquiries are ongoing and officers are appealing for witnesses.
A group of people were seen running away from the area, over the footbridge towards Cockels Loan, around the time.
Anyone who saw what happened, saw anyone acting suspiciously in the area around the time and anyone with private CCTV or dash cam footage is urged to come forward.
