Appeal for information following assault and robbery in Motherwell
Detectives are appealing for information after a man was assaulted and robbed within his home in Motherwell.
Around 5.45pm on Friday, 10 November, 2023, a man was at home in Macrious Way, when four men entered the house and assaulted him prior to making off with a sum of money and jewellery.
He did not require any medical treatment.
They were all dressed in dark clothing with face coverings.
Detective Sergeant John Logan of Airdrie CID said: "For those responsible to enter the victim’s home and subject him to this terrifying ordeal is absolutely despicable. It is crucial that we trace them.
“Officers are carrying out door to door enquiries, reviewing CCTV and we will continue our investigations until we track them down.
“I would urge anyone who was in the local area on Friday evening to come forward if they think they may have seen persons matching the above descriptions or anything else suspicious.
“Likewise, I would be keen to hear about any vehicles which may have been seen entering or leaving the surrounding streets on Friday evening and any dashcam footage available from these vehicles. It might not have seemed important at the time, but the information could prove significant to our investigation.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact 101 quoting incident number 2933 of 10 November 2023. Alternatively, you can call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 where details can be given in confidence.
