Appeal for information following a crash in South Ayrshire
Police are appealing for information following a one-vehicle road crash on the A742 near Coylton in South Ayrshire.
Around 6.05pm on Sunday, 26 November, 2023, police received a report of a one-vehicle road crash on the B742 near Annbank, Coylton.
Emergency services attended and the passenger of the car, a 34-year-old man, was taken to hospital where his condition is described as critical.
The 42-year-old driver of the car, a blue VW Up, was uninjured.
The road was closed to allow collision investigators access to the location for further investigation.
A 42-year-old man was arrested and released pending further enquiries.
Sergeant Chris Hoggans said: “I am appealing to anyone who was travelling on the road around the time of the crash to contact us with any information they may have. If anyone has dash cam footage, please check the images. Any small piece of detail could assist us in establishing the full circumstances of the crash.”
