Appeal after large quantity of stolen items recovered and two arrests near Gretna
Officers from the Lockerbie Road Policing Unit have recovered stolen items following a vehicle stop on the A74(M) near Gretna Services on Sunday, 26 November, 2023.
A large quantity of stolen items were found within the vehicle, including razor blade packs, tooth brush heads, earphones and alcohol.
Two men, aged 37 and 51, have been arrested and further enquiries remain ongoing.
It is believed that the items were stolen from the Dumfries and Galloway or Glasgow areas, and officers are appealing for anyone with information to please come forward.
Constable Andrew Aitken, from Lockerbie Road Policing, said: “Whilst we are appealing for anyone with information, or if you believe you’ve been the victim of crime, to please come forward, we are also urging shopkeepers and staff to be vigilant against such high-value thefts.
