Two people arrested and charged in connection with wilful fire-raising in Ayr

Two male youths have been arrested and charged in connection with wilful fire-raising in Ayr.

The incident happened around 3.55pm on Sunday, 28 May, 2023, in the Smith Street area.

Officers attended and the fire was extinguished by the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service.

The two males, both aged 17, are expected to appear at Ayr Sheriff Court at a later date. Reports will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
