Officers working to combat anti-social behaviour in Barrhead
Officers will be carrying out patrols in the Barrhead area following recent reports of anti-social behaviour.
There have been concerns from members of the local community following incidents in the Church Road and Main Street areas.
We will continue to work with partners to combat anti-social behaviour and protect the local community.
Sergeant James Higgins said: "We have seen a number of instances of anti-social behaviour, which has understandably caused some concern.
"Local officers have been carrying out dedicated patrols in response to these concerns and will continue to respond to any reports we receive.
"We have also been engaging with partners to support local initiatives and preventative work.
"I would like to thank members of the community for reporting recent incidents and anyone affected by antisocial behaviour, or wishing to report a crime, should contact police by calling 101.
"Alternatively, you can call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, if you wish to remain anonymous.”
