Man jailed for Aberdeen recovery of £500k in drugs
A 29-year-old man has been jailed for three and a half years for being concerned in the supply of cocaine and heroin, after the recovery of drugs with an estimated value of over £500,000 in Aberdeen.
Lee Scott MacRory was sentenced today (Thursday, 18 May, 2023) at the High Court in Edinburgh, after previously pleading guilty at the High Court in Glasgow on Friday, 14 April.
He was arrested and charged after an intelligence-led warrant was executed at a property in the East Main Avenue area of Aberdeen, on Saturday, 4 December, 2021.
Detective Inspector Robin Sim said: “This conviction serves as yet another example of our commitment to remove these illegal substances from our streets, as we continue to target those we suspect to be involved in the drugs supply chain in the North East.
“I would like to take this opportunity to remind people that information from our local communities is absolutely essential for our investigations and we are grateful to the public for every piece of information which is used to disrupt the drugs trade, bringing those responsible to justice.
"If anyone has any concerns regarding the abuse or supply of controlled drugs, they are urged to contact Police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
