Man convicted for involvement in serious organised crime
A man has been convicted of his involvement in serious organised crime.
Stuart George, 40, pleaded guilty at the High Court in Glasgow Court on Friday, 31 March, 2023.
The offence took place in the Glasgow area between March and August 2020.
Detective Chief Inspector Steven Elliot said: “Stuart George was arrested following an extensive investigation and we welcome his conviction.
“I hope it sends a clear message to those involved in serious organised crime, that we are committed to disrupting this illegal, harmful activity in our communities and those responsible will be caught.
“Police Scotland will not allow criminals and organised crime groups to profit from other people’s misery and this case is a good example of how we utilise our resources along with the expertise of partner agencies to disrupt this kind of activity.”
