Man charged following fireraising incidents in Elgin
A 39-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with a number of wilful fireraisings in Elgin.
The incidents took place around South Street, in the early hours of Saturday, 11 March, when numerous items of street furniture where set alight.
A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
Constable Kerry Hesten said: “We would like to thank members of the local community for their assistance with our enquiries.
“Fires, no matter what size, are extremely dangerous and can cause significant damage. This sort of behaviour will not be tolerated and we will thoroughly investigate any reports made to police.”
