Man arrested and charged following assault in Galashiels

A 38-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with an assault in Galashiels.

A 31-year-old man was found seriously injured on Kenilworth Avenue around 2.45pm on Saturday, 4 March.

He was taken to Borders General Hospital for treatment to injuries which are described as serious but non-life threatening.

The 38-year-old appeared at Selkirk Sheriff Court on Monday, 6 March.
