Drugs worth half a million pounds seized in Glasgow

Police in Glasgow have seized Class A drugs worth more than half a million pounds following an operation on Wednesday, 1 March, 2023.

Around 2pm, officers from the Specialist Crime Division stopped a car on Wallacewell Road, Glasgow and recovered 9kg of Cocaine, worth an estimated street value of £540,000 as well as £120,000 in cash.

A 34-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the drugs recovery. He is due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Thursday, 2 March, 2023.
