Appeal following serious crash on B966 in Aberdeenshire
Road Policing officers in the North East are appealing for information following a two-vehicle crash on the B966 between Fordoun and Auchenblae.
The incident took place around 4pm on Wednesday, 8 March, 2023, and involved a grey Audi A3 car and a grey Ford Transit van.
As a result of the crash, the occupants of the Audi – a 65-year-old man and a 74-year-old man – were taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary with serious injuries. The 50-year-old male driver for the Ford Transit sustained minor injuries.
The road was closed for around 9 hours and officers are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.
Sergeant Sarah Ritchie, from the North East Road Policing Unit, said: “Our thoughts are with the three men involved in this incident and their families. I would like to thank the people who offered their assistance at the scene and who have already spoken with police.
“We urge anyone else who witnessed the crash, believes they saw the vehicles involved, or may have dashcam footage from the area, to contact us.
“Anyone with information should call police on 101, quoting incident 2330 of 8 March, 2023.”
