Appeal following serious crash on A77 near Fenwick
Road Policing Officers in Ayrshire are appealing for information following a serious road crash on the A77 near to J6, Fenwick.
The incident involving one vehicle took place around 9.20am on Tuesday, 14 March, when a blue BMW 320 collided with a wall.
The 48-year-old male driver was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, Glasgow, for treatment.
Emergency services attended the scene and the road was closed for a period of six hours while investigations were carried out.
Officers are now appealing to any witnesses in the area with information to come forward.
Sergeant Stewart Taylor from Irvine Road Policing Unit said: “Our enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of the crash and we are keen to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the incident.
“In particular, if you have dash-cam footage that could assist, please get in touch.
