Update - Serious crash involving car and cyclist in Glasgow

A 64-year-old man has died as a result of a serious crash on Fielden Street, Glasgow.

The incident happened around 8.40am on Monday, 29 May, 2023, and involved a cyclist and a grey Audi A3.

The cyclist, who was injured as a result of the crash, died within the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital on Thursday, 1 June, 2023. He can be named as John Morton, 64, from Paisley.

Sergeant Andrew Coutts said: “Our thoughts remain with John’s family and friends at this very difficult time for them.

“Enquiries into the crash are ongoing and anyone with information that may assist us should contact 101 with reference number 0737 of 29 May, 2023.”
