Road traffic crash in Cockenzie
Officers are appealing for information following a road traffic collision in Cockenzie.
Around 4pm on Sunday, 11 June, 2023, a collision occurred between a white van and a motorcycle on Edinburgh Road. As a result of the crash, a 22-year-old man, who was the rider of the bike, sustained a serious leg injury and was taken to hospital. The driver of the van was uninjured.
Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of the incident and officers are keen to speak with a man and woman, both pedestrians, who may have witnessed the incident.
Constable Stewart Logan said: “I would like to ask the man and woman who were there at the time to get in touch with us. I’m sure they have information which would be beneficial to our ongoing investigation. I would also like to appeal to anyone with dash cam equipment, please check your footage as it could contain images which could be significant to our enquiries.”
