Pair arrested and charged following drugs recovery in Aberdeen

A 27-year-old man and 22-year-old woman have been arrested and charged as a result of a County Lines drugs operation in Aberdeen.

The arrests took place following the intelligence-led stop of a car on Anderson Drive, on the morning of Wednesday, 7 June, 2023. Search warrants were subsequently executed at two properties in the Gillespie Crescent and Nigg Kirk Road areas of the city.

A total quantity of ‘crack’ cocaine with an estimated street value of around £13,500 was recovered, along with a low four-figure sum of cash. Officers are continuing to follow further positive lines of enquiry.

The pair were expected to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court on Thursday, 8 June, 2023.

Detective Constable Rob Graham said: “We remain committed to disrupting county lines activity and we will use all resources at our disposal to rid our communities of drugs, whilst working with partners to provide support to vulnerable people being targeted by these criminals.
