Appeal regarding three serious assaults following the Big Weekend in Dundee
Police are appealing for information in relation to three serious assaults in Dundee, which took place on Sunday, 28 May, 2023.
The first incident took place around 10.45pm between Camperdown Park and the designated bus park for The Big Weekend.
A 28-year-old woman was seriously assaulted by a man after she witnessed him appearing to assault another unknown woman. She was treated at hospital and subsequently reported the attack to police on Tuesday, 30 May.
The suspect is described as being a man in his early 30s, tall and with a slim build.
The second incident took place on Lochee High Street, around 11.40pm.
Two 22-year-old men were attacked by a man described as being aged around 20-30, with short dark hair, wearing a light-coloured top and dark shorts. One of the victims sustained serious injuries as a result of the attack.
The suspect in the second attack is described as being accompanied by an unknown woman and officers are keeping an open mind as to whether this is linked to the earlier incident near Camperdown Park.
Detective Constable David Feeney said: “We know that the areas of these incidents were busy with people leaving The Big Weekend and would ask anyone who believes they witnessed anything, or has any information, to please come forward.
