Appeal for information following theft in Dumfries

Police Scotland is appealing for information following the theft of copper cabling in Dumfries.

The incident happened between 9pm and 10pm on Friday, 26 May, 2023 in the Greystone Crescent area.

The material taken is believed to have an estimated value of around £13,000.

Detective Constable Jim Kirkpatrick said: “Enquiries are continuing into this high-value theft and we are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed anything around this time to come forward.

“If you saw anything unusual or suspicious in the area, including any suspicious vehicles, please contact police immediately.

“We encourage any witnesses or anyone with dash-cam footage which may assist in our enquiries to please get in touch.”
