Appeal for information following serious crash in Lockerbie
Police Scotland is appealing for information following a serious crash involving a car and a pedestrian in Lockerbie.
The incident happened around 2.55pm on Thursday, 8 June, 2023, on Carlisle Road when the pedestrian, a 60-year-old man, was struck by a white Ford C-Max car.
Emergency services attended and he was taken to the Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary. He was later transferred to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow where he remains in a serious condition.
The road was closed for around four hours and reopened around 10pm.
Sergeant Colin Ramage said: "A man has sustained serious injuries as a result of this crash and we are appealing for information to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.
"Enquiries are ongoing and we're appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident, or anyone who was in that area with dash-cam footage to please contact us."
